The new F/A-18E Super Hornet is the most advanced combat and fighter aircraft in the U.S. Navy, replacing the F-14 and the F/A-18 C. The F/A-18E is in reality a completely new aircraft. The airframe is 30% larger than that of the F/A-18C. Further modifications include powerful engines producing more thrust, larger fuel capacity and greater range.
