The Great Western Railway (GWR) employed standard designs not only for its locomotives and rolling stock, but also for many of the structures and infrastructure needed to run its railway network, none less so than its station buildings. This Scenecraft model is based on the building found at Toddington on the preserved Gloucestershire Warwickshire Steam Railway but buildings to the same design could be found across the GWR network. Indeed, some are still in use on the national network today and have had their woodwork and details painted into contemporary colours, like the blue and white scheme applied to this model which makes it ideal for layouts set in former GWR territory.
