Finished in the striking Virgin Trains red and black livery, this model represents the upgraded first-class accommodation introduced in the late 1990s. Adding a touch of luxury and realism to any West Coast Main Line formation, the model features coach number ‘3344’ and NEM couplings. Pair perfectly with other Virgin Mk2F coaches to form a realistic rake as seen on the West Coast services from the mid-1990s to early 2000s.
History
After privatisation, these vehicles were operated as loco-hauled stock by Virgin Trains West Coast and inside had an attractive burgundy moquette trim. The FO (First Class Open) had similar interiors to the SO but fitted out to a higher standard and 2+1 seating.
